This Tilta Standard Dovetail offers increased flexibility and security when mounting your camera to various support systems.
Similar to other dovetails, this can be mounted to most support systems like tripod heads or camera cranes via 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 screws.
The Tilta Dovetail features a unique track in which camera systems using Tilta Baseplates can slide and lock onto in various positions.
This allows you greater flexibility when balancing your camera system on a tripod head for precise and easy operating.
The featured safety pin provides additional security which is especially important when extra assurance is needed such as when rigging overhead.
When paired with our Dovetail Shoulder Rig, this plate allows you to quickly swap between locked off and shoulder mounted handheld shots.
The Tilta Standard Dovetail is a lightweight, low profile option that perfectly complements our Tiltaing and Tilta Standard Baseplates.
Available in Black or Gray.
Love this plate. I bought 2, one for my sticks and one for my TIlta small handheld rig. Now I have a quick release options for switching from one to the other
Very durable! Makes the job easier
Yeah, I purchased two of these plates so I could swap My C70, Monstro, and Red Komodo using my Sachtler Aktiv8 and it works great. I do wish there was a larger one though.
Honestly I don’t know why this wasn’t included in the Cage package I bought. It’s completely necessary. Anyway it’s perfect, super light weight.
I’m really happy with all my Tilta products
With any Arri style baseplate and dovetail, DO NOT apply any lubrication. That will only gather dirt and make the situation worse. Instead, make sure the pieces are scrupulously clean. Then it will work as intended.
Yes, it is tricky to mount sometimes but with experience comes the familiarity of how to make it work.
