Is the cold shoe universal? I want to attach it some something other that an rs so if I had a cold shoe option on a cage would be able to attach this plate?

This is a proprietary DJI connection that is not compatible with standard cold shoe receivers!

Is this compatible with the new passthrough plate for the RS 3/3Pro (SKU: TGA-PPK2), or is there a new battery plate for that new passthrough plate?

Yes this battery plate can be attached to both Power Pass Through Plates!

Is this compatible with the Ronin RS 3 Pro?

This battery plate is directly compatible with the RS2 Power Pass Through Plate and not any gimbal specifically!The RS2 Power Pass Through Plate is partially compatible with the RS3 Pro. It will mount to the RS3, but there will be some limitations with the range of motion! We will be releasing a new Power Pass Through Plate specifically for the RS3 in the near future!
