I have an RSC2, & it works the same way as on the RS2.
I think this is an essential accessory for my gimbal. I use it for additional handles and a binaural microphone setup. I just wish there were other accessories for this accessory! I would love to see a forward facing flat cheese plate that I could mount medium components to; like an audio recorder or a battery mics etc, it could be made to slide into the coldshoe and or a screw in to prevent twisting.
Maybe the revision 2 could have one or two screw holes on the front also.
Anyway, its a great accessory that I recommend everyone have.
Worth every penny! (and its not even expensive)
I originally custom made a 3D printed bracket to do what this did, and while it worked well, I was excited to see a metal (aluminum) bracket instead ?and at a great price! I wish I had found this sooner.
I use it to quickly mount my RS2 on tripods and rigs for weddings, events and commercial work combined with the Tilta extended quick release baseplate and some Bexin arca clamps.
The hole is on the wrong side ffs, wanted it on the back so i could attach a monitor mount, why would we need o add shit to the front of it. sad
