The new Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K has just been released and we have received a lot of questions about compatibility with our Tiltaing BMPCC 4K Cage.
Some customers have been able to get their 6K to fit but there is a slight modification that needs to be made to accomodate the larger sensor and its external housing.
Customers who have placed orders previously can order a free* (shipping and handling not included) Logo Attachment for BMPCC 6K Camera Cage that will upgrade your 4K cage to be compatible with 6K. It includes the necessary driver and screws to switch out the logo plate on the older cages. Shipping is a flat rate of $8 in the US (exc. AK/HI) and $20 internationally for this item.
Orders placed on tilta.com or tiltaing.com from today onwards will be compatible with the BMPCC 4K & 6K. Resellers may or may not have the upgraded kits available but you can order a Logo Attachment for BMPCC 6K Camera Cage at tilta.com if you have received an older cage.
