Launch Auto Focus Adapter in Berlin and Munich

Events Uncategorized

Tilta, in collaboration with Sony, is proud to announce the official launch of the Tilta Nucleus Auto Focus Adapter (E to PL) in Germany this March.

The launch events will take place at Teltec locations in Berlin and Munich, offering filmmakers an exclusive first look at this innovative solution.

A New Era for Cinema Autofocus

The Tilta Nucleus Auto Focus Adapter (E to PL) bridges the gap between professional PL cinema glass and Sony’s advanced autofocus technology. By translating Sony’s phase-detection AF data into precise motor-driven adjustments via Tilta’s Nucleus ecosystem, the adapter enables filmmakers to combine the character of cinema lenses with intelligent autofocus performance.

Key capabilities include:

  • Autofocus support for PL lenses

  • Face detection and eye tracking compatibility

  • Seamless switching between autofocus and manual focus

  • Full integration with Tilta Nucleus wireless lens control systems

This development expands creative flexibility for cinematographers, owner-operators, and rental houses alike.

Hands-On Demonstrations at Teltec

During the launch events, attendees will have the opportunity to:

  • Experience live demonstrations

  • Test the adapter with compatible Sony cameras

  • Explore complete Nucleus system integration

  • Speak directly with Tilta and Sony product specialists

These sessions provide a practical insight into how traditional cinema lenses can be adapted to modern autofocus-driven workflows.
