The thing to know is this Dovetail is a Tilta Standard size, not the Arri standard size. So, make sure to get the right Tilta camera baseplate to mate with it. It only can be accessed from one single end. The other end has a safety stop screw. Tie-down screws must not be too long as they can hit the camera baseplate . Most normal 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 screws should work fine. But, sometimes you?‘ll get a long screw that can protrude through too far.

Yeah, I purchased two of these plates so I could swap My C70, Monstro, and Red Komodo using my Sachtler Aktiv8 and it works great. I do wish there was a larger one though.

Honestly I don't know why this wasn't included in the Cage package I bought. It's completely necessary. Anyway it's perfect, super light weight.

With any Arri style baseplate and dovetail, DO NOT apply any lubrication. That will only gather dirt and make the situation worse. Instead, make sure the pieces are scrupulously clean. Then it will work as intended.
Yes, it is tricky to mount sometimes but with experience comes the familiarity of how to make it work.

This Dovetail plate works great with our Pocket 6K Rig. It allows us to find perfect balance when we have a large camera package. The only frustrating deal is sometimes its difficult to find the grooves in order for an easy slide into the dovetail. Some of our operators can't seem to find the groove to slide into the dovetail. I recommended using some sort of machine oil to help with the metal on metal friction.

I own an standard ARRI plate, and was looking for a lighter system to grab my camera into my tripod with possibilities as the ARRI Plate offers. Impressed with how light it is, still having car enough to handle a good balance with different lenses and/ or configurations. A most have for TILTA cages or sliding plates owners.

Needed a solid but light and quick way to connect FX6 Tilta Kit to Cartoni tripod plate. The dovetail solves that problem and will also support bigger lenses.
Solid build and a nice edition to the kit.
