Is there a solution for the horizon level issue on the Gravity G2X?

We have received reports that some G2X's have troubles maintaining a correct horizon level. Because of this, we've added an update to our Tilta Assistant App for iOS or Android to allow you to fix the horizon level if needed.

Yes you can save the settings. It saves them every time you change them.

Can I power my camera through the G1, G2, and G2X?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can power your camera through the G2X with a dummy battery. We currently offer Canon LP-E6 and Sony NP-FW50 dummy batteries with a DC connection so that you can power your camera through the DC in/output at the base of the gimbal. You can also use third party dummy batteries that utilize a P-tap connection with our optional DC to P-tap Power Distribution Box.

What is the balancing plate for?

The balancing plate helps you balance your gimbal. The pistol grip handle fits onto the plate and then a finger-tightening screw locks it in place. You can then easily balance your camera on the gimbal. You can also directly attach the balancing plate to a tripod with the 1⁄4” holes at the bottom of the plate.

Can you detach the handle from the gimbal?

Yes, you can detach the G1, G2, and G2X from the pistol grip. You can then power and operate the gimbal using the Dual Pistol Grip Battery Handles which attach via the two side rosette mounts.

Is there an Android app that works with G1, G2, and G2X?

Tilta Assistant calibrates and manages advanced settings for Tilta's 3 axis system. Available for iOS devices already, it is now available as a public beta for Android devices. Using it requires manually installing the APK file, visit this link if you need help with that.

What is the difference between the previous G1 handheld gimbal and the G2/G2X?

The base plate on the G2/G2X is now compatible with Manfrotto tripods to allow you to quickly detach your camera from the gimbal and mount onto a tripod. Also, the G2 and G2X have an added fourth mode that allows you to affect the roll motor while operating so that you can perform Dutch angled shots.

What is the difference between the G2 and the G2X?

The G2X has a 45 degree angled roll motor which allows longer cameras to be balanced. The G2 on the other hand has more flexibility than the G2X and is easier to go into inverted mode.

What is the difference between the flight case and cardboard box versions of the G2/G2X?

Aside from the actual case that the gimbal comes in, the flight case version also comes with the gimbal balancing plate. The cardboard box version does not come with a balancing plate.
