Designed meticulously to fit the majority of mainstream smartphones across all major brands, this camera cage inspired case offers an unparalleled blend of universal compatibility, modular expandability, and professional-grade build quality. With an adjustable clamping range of 2.75″ – 3.5″ inches (70-90mm), the Khronos Universal Case adapts to nearly any device — so when you change your phone, your rig stays the same.
Built around the Khronos ecosystem’s modular philosophy, the case includes a cold shoe mount, NATO rail, and multiple 1/4″-20 threads. This gives you a wide range of mounting options for lights, microphones, articulating arms, and more. Wave-shaped grip grooves on both sides of the frame provide a solid, secure feel during handheld shooting.
For filtration, the kit includes two mounting options. The Magnetic 58mm Filter Tray Holder snaps the included Magnetic 58mm VND Filter (1-5 Stops) into place with a satisfying click. This gives you greater control over exposure in any scenario.
The 62mm Threaded Filter Tray accepts any standard 62mm screw-on filter, giving you instant access to the broader third-party filter ecosystem.
The Filter Tray Holder is able to adjust positions across three axes: 0-15mm left to right for lens centering, 0-42mm up and down for lens height, and 2-10mm front to back to accommodate different lens protrusions. This allows the filter adapters to be fine-tuned for a perfect fit on virtually any phone.
The NATO to ARCA Adapter attaches effortlessly to the cage via the NATO rails, opening the cage up for quick mounting to any ARCA compatible tripod or gimbal, giving you options to choose your own mounting style.
The Adjustable NATO Handle slides directly into the NATO rail for a seamless quick mount with one-touch locking. The handle offers 360° rotation by simply pressing and holding the rotation button to turn to your desired angle. Shift the handle’s distance from the center by unscrewing the center knob thread. Shoot comfortably in both horizontal and vertical orientations or angle it for more flexible high and low-angle shooting.
Also included is the Cooling System for Universal Smartphone Case, which uses a high-performance fan with smart temperature control to keep the phone running cool during extended recording sessions. The system features three power modes: 18-27W smart cooling (Blue), 20-27W smart cooling with adjustable fan speed (Purple), and 27W Extreme Cooling output (Red). The contacted surface can be cooled in as little as 40 seconds in Extreme Cooling mode.
The USB-C Hub for Universal Smartphone Case connects directly to the phone and opens up the full creative workflow. It delivers 10Gbps high-speed data transfer, accepts up to 100W of PD input for high-speed power delivery, outputs up to 36W to the phone, and provides a second USB-C port for external SSDs and ProRes RAW external recording. An HDMI port allows for connection to external monitors or video transmitters for real-time monitoring.
