Matte Box Tilta Mirage

Having a blast with my Mirage. It's light, professional, and high quality!

I have a lot of configurations I use my camera in, and this works with all of them. It even fits into my teleprompter rig so that I can make those shots a little more interesting.

Great, loved the lightwieght design and usablility. The one comment I would make it the 15 mm rod mount adapter is very high profile. This part could be adjusted to allow the matte box to sit closer to the rods while using this rod mount.

Pretty simple to set up, high modulability, cheaper filter, and a vnd, what more could you ask for!

This is the perfect size for small setups. It's well made for the price and has a lot of modular opportunities. The tightening screws doesn't turn much, so I'm sometimes not sure if it's tightly clamped. Fix that and you have 5 stars.

Excellent item and amazingly flexible in configuration with filters, etc. Absolutely no vignetting even on wide lenses such as a 16mm used daily.

Always with me. Lightweight, compact and great quality. The VND is awesome. I will buy the motor for sure very soon! :-)

I was worried my lens would pick up the sides of the matte box being a SIRUI 35mm F1.8 1.33x M4/3 Anamorphic Lens but it works great.

The matte box is good and functions well until a wide angle is put on (16mm). Then the blocked corners show up. It?‘s really unfortunate because the solution seems to be a design flaw and could easily be fixed by milling out some metal inside the matte box.

Great experience, I trust the quality of the materials and I appreciate the user-friendly design. However, certain visual elements appear in post-production that I need to work on, such as grain in the image. I am not certain if this is a result of the combination of the Title Mirage with old lenses.

This is great. It is compact and lightweight. We short our entire feature with it.

I really like the system, and I find it to work really great with most of my lenses. I am a bit disappointed that you cannot use the mat box with lenses wider than 18 mm on FF. I use the Sony a7s3 with the 16-35 mm f/2.8 and there is an unusable amount of vignetting on the 16 - 18mm end even when using the active stabilising mode on the camera. I was even more surprised when I got the stackable filter circular filter tray and found that you cannot use this with wider lenses than 35mm without huge vignetting. I think Tilta should inform buyers of this on their page, as this probably would keep me from buying this as I use it one the wide end a lot. I also wish that the batteries in the VND module would charge when inserting a USB cable. That would be very convenient for my use case. Other than this it's a great product.

There is no equivalent out on the market if you do not own a camera with a built-in ND filtration system; the "Tilta, take my money" product is a must-have. Please note the "Lightweight Filter Clamp-On" is not part of the kit and should be added to your cart at checkout.

Game changer, I bought some extra Filter enclosures and it?‘s super fast to swap.

Love it! It fits on most lenses and has adapter rings for smaller lenses. Makes using filters a seamless process and speeds up my work flow. I highly recommend it.

It's rare to find a product that you have no issue with, but the Mirage is one of them. From the weight to the size, to the quality of the VND, it's all perfect to me. You will not regret buying this matte box.

It makes work easier ~

Great Idea but quality control still needs work, filter didn?‘t fit in because of the steel sphere lock retaining ring wasn?‘t flush to the edge surface. Polarizing filter is too tight and motor couldn?‘t turn it, however Tilta did replace the filter at the end.

This is amazing it?‘s the best ND solution for my FX3 now I feel better , my FX3 is perfect and outstanding with , I ordered second one for my second FX3 The good thing that its also work with RS2 handle what we need more?

Great product?functions perfectly. Build is great. Wish there was more info on compatible filters.
