Introducing the redesigned Camera Cage for the Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K!
This Camera Cage for the BMCC 6K (Full Frame) provides protective armor for the camera body and allows users to secure different accessories to improve the camera’s functionality.
This updated version features a top plate that perfectly aligns with the 1/4″-20 thread on the top of the Full Frame camera body which is not currently compatible with our previous version of this cage.
The new design also feature two screws to connect the cage to the bottom of the camera which creates an incredibly secure three points of contact.
The Full Cage offers several 1/4”-20 threads with locating points, cold shoe receivers, an Arri compatible rosette and a NATO Rail for NATO based Side Handles and accessories.
The right side arm module can be removed to turn this Full Cage into a Half Cage, which offers more flexibility in situations where lighter builds are required, such as when using a gimbal.
The Bottom Plate provides several 1/4″-20 mounting points for attaching your camera to various quick release plates and is compatible with the ARCA Receiver of the DJI RS3 Pro.
When using the Half Cage, the bottom plate can be extended to support the Black Magic Design Battery Grip.
PLEASE NOTE: The Battery Grip 15mm Rod Holder is NOT INCLUDED with the Full Camera Cage.
The BMD EVF does NOT fully clear the Top Plate of the cage. Please exercise caution to avoid damage to the EVF.
As the title suggests the cage is a very good fit with a couple minor things-
The part wrapping around the grip sticks out more than expected. Not a deal breaker but I¡¯m a bit concerned about getting caught on things.
Would love a tiny bit more room around the ports on the left side to access and to tuck the port doors out of the way when not in use.

The holes on the bottom do not allow you to mount a sliding plate on the centerline of the camera, the built in ARCA is great but for rigging it out with rods etc, it requires some modification and a cheese plate to get it centered.
That is correct! This generally is designed to only use the integrated ARCA plate.

I love this cage in every way. Minus one issue. The top handle mount is a 1/4 thread which makes you purchase a new tilta only handle?idk why they went this direction since top handles with an arri style mount have always been 3/8ths
Thank you for the feedback! We currently do not offer any 3/8"-16 Top Handles which is why the standard for most of our cages is 1/4"-20!
You could theoretically use an adapter to or small cheese-plate to use this cage with a 3/8"-16 Top Handle!
