Introducing the Nucleus Nano II Control Handle!

Experience unparalleled flexibility with the Nano II’s ability to handle up to 4 motors for Focus, Iris, Zoom, and Mirage VND when using this Control Handle and the Hand Wheel!

This handle powers from a Sony L-Series Battery (F550/570) and can send power to the Nucleus Nano II Hand Wheel for extended battery life.

The Control Handle features a focus dial on the front that can be used to control both Nucleus Series Motors and even the DJI Focus Motor (requires optional Wireless Receiver Module).

This Wireless Receiver Module (not included) can also be utilized in order to connect this handle to the DJI RS2 or RS3 Pro in order to wirelessly operate it.

The handle can be used independently of the Nano II Hand Wheel and can control two Nucleus Series Motors via the Focus Dial and the Joystick, when not controlling a gimbal.

The handle features a 1/4″-20 thread with locating points, perfect for mounting our Right Angle Rosette Adapter in order to easily integrate this handle into a shoulder rig setup.

The top of the handle also features a cold shoe receiver, which can be used with our optional Cold Shoe Mount for an external monitor in order to create the perfect focus pulling station when used with the Hand Wheel.

NOTE: The NATO Mount is only intended for the Nano II Hand Wheel. Do not connect other accessories via this NATO mount or you will risk damaging the contact pins.

We recommend using only Sony L-Series F550 Batteries. Compatibility with other brands is not guaranteed.

    First experience

It was a bit dificult because the sarten is a bit small, the setup is easyJet when you Knowles the way, but you must watch a los the videos on Internet because the manual is a bit confuse. At the end I will buy the ¨ªtem again because is solid and run well with the ficus motor without the nano nucleus. Its simple and useful. Great job.

1. Does the front dial have hard stops of any kind?2. In order to allow for quick setup changes I'd like to pair both the hand wheel and the handle to the same two motors. I'd use the hand wheel attached to my tripod handle when in tripod mode, then for shoulder work I'd just take the camera off the tripod and use the control handle in place of a shoulder rig handle. Would this work seamlessly, or would I have to re-calibrate the wheel and the handle each time I switch in order to account for the difference between the wheel/dial position vs motor position due to alternating between which I use for controlling a given motor? I'd love to be able to just grab my camera off the tripod and keep shooting, without having to worry about re-calibration.

1. Yes the front dial has hard stops! 2. As long as you don't have both controllers powered on at the same time, you will not need to calibrate the motor when switching controllers! Please contact our support team for more information: sales-de@tilta.com

Hi, I'm thinking about buying both the Nano 2 control handle and wheel controller to operate my DJI RS2 and the DJI focus motor, along with my Sony A9M2 principally for photography, not video. I wanted to know the following things before buying:1. How much control would the wheel and handle have on the Sony A9M2? Is it limited, and if so, what are those limitations? I understand you don't have full compatibility/control of all Sony cameras at present and wanted to know if there were limitations to that control for that camera? And are there plans to make it compatible if it isn't already?2. Do I need to buy an additional Tilta Wireless Control Receiver Module TGA WCR in order to make this control the RS2 Gimbal wirelessly? Or does it come with a wireless receiver already?3. Using both the wheel controller and the control handle, am I able to control a Sony camera (preferably the A9M2) and the RS2 Gimbal at the same time without having to change settings/connections?
T
Tilta answered on 01/12/2024

The Sony a9 II is not currently supported so we are not able to confirm what settings will be available to control. We are hoping to add more support for Sony cameras in the future, but we cannot guarantee a specific model at this time. This Wireless Receiver Module is not included will need to be used in order to connect this handle to the DJI RS2 or RS3 Pro in order to wirelessly operate it.Theoretically, if the Nano II is updated to support this camera, you would be able to change settings on the camera while controlling the gimbal at the same time!

Is there a setting to control the sensitivity of the front dial?
T
Tilta answered on 01/16/2024

There is not a sensitivity setting on this dial, as the sensitivity will be directly related to the end points of the motor! You could theoretically calibrate the motor farther than the throw of the lens in order to make it more sensitive or stop the motor from fully calibrating in order to make it less sensitive, but that would have some large limitations. Please contact our support team for more information about this workaround if you are interested: sales-de@tilta.com
